Job Summery:
The Finance Associate in a supporting staff who ensure effective financial operations at MMALABS. They are responsible for performing various clerical and administrative tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and record-keeping. Your attention to detail and numerical proficiency will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Record financial transactions accurately in accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable records to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours worked, verifying timesheets, and preparing payroll checks or direct deposits.
- Maintain and update financial records and databases, ensuring they are organised and easily accessible.
- Assist with basic financial analysis and reporting tasks, such as preparing financial statements.
- Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial transactions and records.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to support administrative goals and initiatives.
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor’s in related field
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a finance or accounting setting.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
