The Security Personnel will report to the Safety Officer.
Job Overview
The position is intended for security personnel with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, clients, and assets. Persons occupying this position do not partake in technical decisions and shall work under strict supervision to ensure all safety and security protocols are followed.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor and control access to the laboratory premises, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure the security of the building, equipment, and samples.
- Maintain a security log, recording all visitors, deliveries, and unusual incidents.
- Respond to and report any security breaches, alarms, or disturbances to the Safety Officer.
- Receive and escort clients to their designated areas within the facility.
- Ensure all entrances, exits, and windows are securely locked/unlocked according to schedule.
- Sent on errands related to security, safety inspections, and official document delivery.
Qualifications
The minimum qualification shall be high school certificate.
Opportunity shall be given to employee to have development courses in safety management, fire prevention, customer care, and first aid, which will form the base.
Knowledge Skill and Abilities
- High School Level
- Prior experience in security or a related field (e.g., military, police) is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate in English and Twi
