The Housekeeper will report to the Safety Officer.

Job Overview
The position is intended for cleaning personnel with a focus on maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organized environment. Persons occupying this position do not partake in technical decisions and shall work under strict supervision to ensure all cleaning and infection control protocols are followed.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Clean and sanitize all areas of the laboratory, offices, and common areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment (following safety guidelines).
  • Manage waste disposal, including the safe handling and segregation of clinical and general waste.
  • Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and inform the Safety Officer when reordering is necessary.
  • Ensure restrooms and client waiting areas are clean and well-stocked at all times.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Assist with the receiving and organizing of delivered goods and supplies.
  • Sent on errands related to supply procurement and official document delivery.

Qualifications
The minimum qualification shall be high school certificate.

Opportunity shall be given to employee to have development courses in infection control, customer care, safety, and store management, which will form the base.

Knowledge Skill and Abilities

  • High School Level
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Twi

General Responsibilities

  1. Participate in all activities which seek to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards implemented at the lab and in business operations.
  2. Comply at all times with laboratory policies and procedures regarding infection control and waste management.
  3. Comply at all times with safety and customer service policies.
  4. Respect information obtained in the course of duties performed and treat the information of patients and clients with strict confidentiality.
