SAMPLE REQUIREMENT
Tryptase is a dominant protein component of the secretory granules of human mast cells. This assay is useful for assessing mast cell activation as a result of anaphylaxis or allergen challenge. It is also used to assess patients with Systemic mastocytosis or Mast cell activation syndrome.
TURN AROUND TIME (TAT)
2 mL (1 mL min.) Serum from 1 SST.
Collect Sample in Last 2 weeks of the month.
